Policies

24 hour cancellation/reschedule
At Baker & Bloom, we require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or reschedules. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment will be charged 50% of the booked service. No-call, no-show appointments will be charged 100% of the service cost.
Health and safety policy
Your health and safety are our top priorities. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, skin sensitivities, or recent procedures that may impact your service. Certain conditions, such as active infections, open wounds, or recent cosmetic treatments, may require rescheduling for your safety.
Clients using retinol, prescription acne medications, or other skin-thinning products must discontinue use at least 7 days before waxing to prevent skin lifting or irritation. Additionally, those experiencing cold sores, eye infections, or other contagious conditions should wait until they are fully healed before booking certain services.
We follow strict sanitation and hygiene protocols, including disinfecting all tools and treatment areas between clients. By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you are in suitable health to receive the service and accept any risks associated. If you have any concerns, we encourage you to consult with a medical professional before your appointment.
Refund policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your service. If you experience any concerns, please contact us within 48-72 hours so we can assess the issue and find a resolution. Refunds are not guaranteed, but we will work with you to ensure the best possible outcome, which may include adjustments or corrections to the service.
Lateness policy
If you arrive late to your appointment, we will do our best to complete what we can in the remaining time, but the full service price will still apply. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you may need to be rescheduled, and a fee for the missed service will be charged. To ensure you receive the full experience, please plan to arrive on time.
How should you prepare?
Preparing for your esthetics appointment is essential to ensure the best results and a smooth experience. Proper preparation helps your skin and hair respond better to treatments, minimizes potential irritation, and enhances overall effectiveness. Following pre-care instructions also reduces the risk of complications and ensures you get the most out of your service. Below, you’ll find a detailed guide on how to prepare for your appointment to achieve the best possible outcome
Lash extensions
To ensure the best retention and results for your lash extensions, proper preparation is key. Arrive with clean, makeup-free eyes, avoiding mascara, eyeliner, and oil-based products at least 24 hours before your appointment. Skip caffeine to help you relax during the service, and avoid curling your natural lashes beforehand. If you wear contacts, consider bringing a case to store them during your appointment. Following these steps will help your lash extensions adhere properly and last longer.
Body waxing
For the best waxing results, proper preparation is essential. Ensure your hair is at least 1/4 inch long for effective removal, and gently exfoliate the area 24 hours before your appointment to prevent ingrown hairs. Avoid applying lotions, oils, or makeup on the area being waxed, and stay out of direct sun or tanning beds to prevent sensitivity. Discontinue the use of retinol or other exfoliating acids at least 7-10 days before your appointment, as they can make the skin more sensitive and prone to irritation. If you’re prone to discomfort, consider taking a mild pain reliever 30 minutes before your appointment. Following these steps will help achieve smoother, longer-lasting results with minimal irritation.
Spray tanning
Proper preparation is key to achieving a flawless, long-lasting spray tan. Exfoliate your skin 24 hours before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and create a smooth base for even application. Avoid using lotions, oils, deodorant, or makeup on the day of your tan, as they can create a barrier and affect absorption. Shave or wax at least 24 hours prior to prevent irritation. Wear loose, dark clothing to your appointment to avoid smudging while your tan develops. Following these steps will help ensure a streak-free, natural-looking glow that lasts longer.
